Pascal’s Creative Studios (“the Studio”, “we”) is a creative studio carrying on business in Accra, Ghana as a sole proprietorship operated by Francis Pascal Addai. The Studio is the data controller in respect of the personal data described in this policy, and is accountable for its processing.
This policy applies to the website at pascalscreative.com and to the Studio’s dealings with clients and prospective clients. It is issued in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
Where an enquiry is submitted through the contact form, the Studio records the name, email address, company name where provided, and the content of the message. The Studio additionally records the website from which the visitor arrived, where applicable.
Query parameters are removed from that referring address before it is stored. Campaign identifiers and, on occasion, personal data are carried in such parameters, and neither is required for the purpose for which the record exists.
At the conclusion of a project the Studio may invite the client to answer three questions. Responses are transmitted to the Studio by email and are not written to any database. No account, cookie or persistent identifier is involved.
That form includes a consent option, selected by default, governing whether the respondent may be identified by name if the response is published. Withdrawal of that consent does not withdraw the response; it permits publication on an unattributed basis. Publication in either case is a manual editorial decision. Nothing submitted is published automatically.
In respect of clients, the Studio maintains the records necessary to perform its obligations and to be paid: contact details, project records, invoices, payments and receipts. Financial records are retained in accordance with clause 5.
The Studio measures page views itself, on its own infrastructure. No third-party analytics service is used and no data leaves the Studio’s own database.
For each page view the Studio records the path visited, the referring website where there is one, the broad device type, browser and operating system, and the country resolved by the hosting provider. It sets no cookies.
To count people rather than requests, each visit is associated with a value derived by a one-way function from a secret that changes every day together with the visitor’s network address and browser identification. Neither the network address nor the browser identification is retained in any form. Because the secret changes daily, the same person visiting on two days produces two unrelated values: the Studio can count how many people visited on a given day and cannot recognise a returning visitor, follow anyone between days, or connect a visit to a person.
Where a visitor uses a tracked control — a WhatsApp link, a question in the FAQ, the contact form — the Studio records that the action occurred and on which page. It records nothing typed.
The website carries no advertising, no advertising network, no social media pixel and no third-party tracking technology.
The Studio’s hosting provider maintains short-term technical logs that include IP addresses, for the purposes of operating the service and preventing abuse. These are not used to construct any profile of an individual.
Where a person opts in to receive marketing or educational email — see clause 12 — the Studio records the email address and name provided, the wording of the consent given and its version, the date it was given, and the manner in which it was captured. Where the opt-in was given alongside an enquiry, that record and the enquiry it relates to are linked internally.
Each category of processing described above is undertaken on one of the following bases:
The Studio does not sell personal data and does not disclose it for the marketing purposes of any third party. Personal data is processed by the following service providers in the course of the Studio’s operations.
| Service | What it holds | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Enquiries, client and project records, invoices, payments and marketing consent records | European Union |
| Netlify | Website hosting; short-term server logs including IP addresses | United States |
| Cloudflare | Domain name services and routing of the Studio’s own email | Global network |
| Resend | Transmission of email sent by the Studio, including invoices and receipts | United States |
| Google (Gmail) | The mailbox at which the Studio receives email | United States |
Beyond the above, disclosure is made only where required by law, or to a professional adviser bound by an independent duty of confidentiality.
As indicated in the table, certain providers store data outside Ghana. This is a consequence of the use of standard internet infrastructure and is disclosed rather than obscured. Each provider is an established supplier operating under its own published security and data protection commitments, and each holds only the data necessary to the function it performs.
Act 843 gives you rights over the personal data the Studio holds about you, including seeing it, correcting it, having it deleted, and withdrawing a consent you gave earlier.
To exercise any of them, write to hello@pascalscreative.com. The Studio replies within 14 days. There is no charge, and you do not have to give a reason.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Records are protected by row-level security at the database, so that access is refused at the data itself rather than only within the application interface: an account without the relevant permission cannot read a record even by circumventing the website. Access is granted by role on the principle of least privilege, and modifications to records are logged with the identity of the person making them and the time at which they were made.
No system is immune from failure. In the event of a breach presenting a material risk to a data subject, the Studio shall notify the affected persons and the Data Protection Commission without undue delay, and shall state what occurred.
This website is directed at persons transacting business with the Studio and is not directed at children. The Studio does not knowingly collect personal data relating to any person under the age of 18. Where the Studio is notified that it holds such data, it shall be deleted.
This website links to third-party websites, including the Studio’s social media profiles and, on occasion, those of clients. The Studio does not control those websites and this policy does not extend to them.
This policy may be amended from time to time. The effective date stated above records when the current version took effect. Where an amendment materially affects the processing of personal data already held, the Studio shall give notice of it directly rather than relying upon publication alone.
All correspondence concerning this policy, including requests under clause 6, should be addressed to:
Pascal’s Creative Studios, Accra, Ghana.
Where a person has given explicit, affirmative consent to receive marketing or educational email — an unticked checkbox, presented separately from the submission of an enquiry or instruction — the Studio may send email of that kind to the address provided.
The Studio records what was agreed to: the exact wording presented, its version, the date it was given, and the manner in which it was captured. That record is kept for as long as the consent remains in force, and for a reasonable period afterward as evidence that it was given.
Consent under this clause may be withdrawn at any time, without charge and without a reason being given, using the unsubscribe link carried in every marketing or educational message, or by writing to the address at clause 1. Withdrawal takes effect from the next scheduled send and does not affect the lawfulness of anything sent before it.
This is a separate basis from the consent described at clause 3. Responding to an enquiry, and following up on it, does not depend on consent given under this clause; sending marketing or educational email does not depend on the consent described at clause 3. One does not substitute for the other.
